Dr. Arthur Cooler received his medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine in Augusta, Georgia after receiving a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency in General Surgery at The University of South Carolina School of Medicine. “With my passion for vascular surgery, I have been able help patients that come to me with pain in their legs due to arterial blockages by identifying and treating those blocked vessels with interventional and minimally invasive techniques, thereby improving their quality of life and in many cases preventing amputations from occurring” says Dr. Cooler. “I am pleased to offer this care in the Midlands, and proud to join the high quality and compassionate team at Providence Surgical Associates.” Widely respected in his field, Dr. Cooler has co-authored numerous articles and has provided numerous educational lectures to other physicians, medical students, and patients themselves during his 20 plus years of practice.
Kelly C. Harris, MD- General Surgeon
Dr. Kelly C. Harris is a General Surgeon practicing with Providence Surgical Associates in Columbia, SC. He received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida, and completed his internship and residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining Providence Health, Dr. Harris was a General Surgeon with the Jackson Clinic in Tennessee performing a broad range of cases including breast, colorectal, hemodialysis access, vascular, endocrine, trauma, robotics, foregut, and more. Dr. Harris is trained and experienced in robotic surgery and is looking forward to pursuing the development of a robotic surgery program at Providence. Prior to his role at Jackson Clinic, he participated in multiple medical mission trips including Guadalajara, Mexico, Managua, Nicaragua, and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico}. When not in the office or operating room, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with his family, running, cooking, soccer, and yoga. Dr. Harris is fluent in Spanish.
Eric J. Gourley, MD, FACS - General Surgeon
Dr. Eric Gourley is an accomplished and awarded veteran with an impressive list of military medical assignments and surgical expertise. Dr. Gourley received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his internship and residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX. Board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the, American College of Surgeons (FACS), Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and American Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (ASMBS). Dr. Gourley is the author of numerous published medical papers. W. McIver Leppard, MD - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY
Dr. Leppard, who performs general, plastic, and reconstructive surgery, received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he also completed his internship and residency in general surgery, as well as a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Leppard is board-certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and board-certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. His clinical interests include: eyelid surgery, face-lifts, forehead and brow lifts, neck lifts, ear reconstruction, nose reshaping, migraine surgery and injectables for the face; arm lifts, tummy tucks, liposuction, thigh lifts and buttock lifts; breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reconstruction and reduction; and skin cancer removal. He is a member of South Carolina Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. When not in the operating room, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, as well as fly fishing, swimming, and kiteboarding in the beautiful waters of South Carolina.

Travelyan Marcel Walker, MD - General Surgeon
Dr. Walker received his medical degree from the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, where he was also intern of the year and resident of the year in General Surgery. Dr. Walker served as Lieutenant Commander in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy, based at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. He was deployed with Special-Purpose in the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response team to Moron, Spain and the Naval Hospital Sigonella as a General Surgeon with a Forward Resuscitative Surgical System. Board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and an Associate Fellow with the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Walker is the author of numerous published medical papers on surgical topics ranging from laparoscopy, hernias, fistulas, catheter placement, thyroidectomies, and more. Dr. Walker specializes in minimally invasive surgery.
Emily Parker received her Masters of Physician Assistant (PA) from Augusta University in 2017. Prior to attending PA school she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Presbyterian College. Specializing in General and Plastic Surgery, she is also certified in Advanced Care Life Support and Basic Life Support. Emily’s current clinical interests are in skin care, reconstructive surgery and clinical research. As a native of Columbia she has grown up being a part of the Providence family. Emily is an active member of the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (SCAPA). Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, as well as venturing out and staying active.
