Dr. Venk Gottipaty earned both his PhD in biophysics and physiology and his MD from Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA. He served a residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and completed a fellowship in cardiology at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, MA. Dr. Gottipaty performs all types of electrophysiology studies, including diagnostic studies, ablation, trans-septal, catheterization and device implementation. Areas of particular interest include management of ventricular arrhythmias, bi-ventricular pacing and congenital heart failure. Prior to moving to Columbia, SC, Dr. Gottipaty was assistant professor and cardiac electrophysiologist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Gottipaty is also the Prinicipal Investigator for Electrophysiology. He is certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
